Lekai, Louis J. The Rise of the Cistercian Strict Observance in Seventeenth Century France. Catholic University Press, 1968. 261 pp. Hardcover in dustjacket. At some point the lower quarter of this book was damp, with the result that there is light waterstaining & rippling to pages and paper residue from jacket stuck to the covers. The jacket is chipped & creased. Still, a decent working copy of a fairly uncommon title. Presents the background and growth of the reform of the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance, more commonly known as the Trappists. $13.50
